My practice is an evolving process that relates more to my journey through life than a set of defined projects or goals. I make work intuitively with a focus on materials, developing a sophisticated dialogue between head and hand. I work across several mediums but specialise in painting and textiles, and through a material led approach I have come to view art and craft as symbiotic partners.
The body has always been a central theme in my work, more specifically it’s the condition of human embodiment that interests me, and my focus is primarily on the female experience. The body is a lens through which I examine the human condition more broadly, linking the personal to the political through history, sociology and philosophy.
